SweepSpotter Support

SweepSpotter is a mobile app that helps you track street sweeping schedules in Los Angeles. It works like a weather app but for street cleaning - you can search for locations, save your favorites, and get alerts about upcoming street sweeping in your area.

Currently, SweepSpotter covers Los Angeles and uses official Los Angeles street sweeping schedule data.

Yes, SweepSpotter is free to use. There will be an optional subscription that removes ads and directly supports the app's development.

SweepSpotter is available on iOS and soon Android. The map features work best on mobile devices, though there is limited web support coming soon.

1. Tap the "Search" tab at the bottom of the screen 2. Type an address, neighborhood name, or landmark in the search bar 3. Select a location from the search results 4. View the street sweeping schedule for that location

1. Search for a location or find it on the map 2. Tap "Add to Favorites" when viewing the location details 3. Optionally, give the location a custom name/nickname 4. The location will appear in your Favorites tab

Location permissions enable: - Automatic detection of your current location - Nearby street sweeping alerts - Easier searching around where you are Your location data stays private and is only used to show relevant street sweeping information.

Street sweeping schedules show: - **Day of the week** (Mon, Tue, Wed, etc.) - **Week of the month** (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th) - **Time range** (e.g., 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM) - **Current status** (Today, Tomorrow, or days until next cleaning)

- **Today's Alert** (Red/Urgent): Street sweeping is happening today - **Tomorrow** (Orange/Warning): Street sweeping is tomorrow - **In X days** (Blue/Safe): Days until the next street sweeping

1. Go to the "Map" tab 2. Use the crosshair in the center to select any location 3. The map shows street sweeping zones as colored areas 4. Tap on areas to see detailed schedule information 5. Pan and zoom to explore different neighborhoods

In the Favorites tab you can: - View all saved locations - See today's alerts at the top - Tap any location to view details - Long-press to rename or delete locations - Get quick status updates for all your saved spots

Yes! You can give any saved location a custom nickname. This is helpful for places like "Home", "Work", or "Mom's House" instead of just the street address.
